Pizzicato bybee
Miraculously, the cost is only $80 for an 8 foot pair with spades.

The high frequencies are open and clear with no tizziness the midrange has exceptional clarity, transparency, and detail and the bass is extended, with remarkable articulation. But so far, I have to say I’m blown away by the neutrality and lack of coloration I’m hearing and by the absence of any apparent downside. (And yes, I know how essential that hunk of wire can be to the sonic integrity of one’s system, but when all is said and done, it’s still a hunk of wire.) Thus the name “anticables.” This stuff goes against everything most high-end speaker cables are typical known for-like ridiculously high prices, haute couture designer jackets, and compromised sonics.Īt this point, I’ve only had a few weeks to audition them, so it’s possible that extended listening could reveal a shortcoming or two. I know cable manufacturers need to make a living, and I have no problem with that, but there’s a limit to what I can conceive of spending on a hunk of wire. Paul Speltz’s “anticable” speaker cables are a godsend to those of us who want good sound but are repulsed by the astronomically high prices some cable manufacturers are asking for their goods. Printed below is the original TAS review: The Absolute Sound’s Top Audio Products for 2011 lists the ANTI CABLES along with only 9 other speaker cables which are priced as amazing as $24,900. The Absolute Sound’s Top Audio Products 20 (issue 197 & 207) This is quite amazing, considering they cost 1/100 as much as others on the list.

Since they are made using the same higher purity copper of Level 2 Performance Series ANTI CABLES, they give up nothing, having the same smooth and extended highs, and great presence and immediacy of voices and instruments.ĪNTI CABLES have been awarded Mono & Stereo’s Best Buy Award and The Absolute Sound’s Editors Choice Award five years in a row which means they are considered to be "the best of the best". Sonically this provides:Ģ) Greater musical dynamic impact which makes the music sound more aliveģ) Greater harmonic structure through the midrange Using twice as much copper also means there are twice as many electrons available to get the music signal from your amplifier to your speakers. In this configuration capacitance, inductance, and resistance are all reduced. So instead of having two #12 gauge wires running to each speaker, there are four #12 gauge ANTI CABLES wires woven together running to each speaker (which is equivalent to a pair of heavy #9 gauge wires).

Large really is family size so don’t even think about it unless you have a bunch of salad eaters at the table. A word of warning though: when they say large, they mean it. When I’m trying to watch my carb intake I can go here with my kids, let them get slices, and I get a salad with some protein and everybody is happy. They are fresh, the dressings are good, etc.

Similar to Mississippi Pizza, if you’ve ever been. The real star of the show often is the salads. The crust isn’t quite NY-thin, but nowhere approaching Chicago style. The pizza itself is kind of what I’d call Northwest style. They have inventive monthly specials (real talk: that radicchio and hazelnut caesar needs to be on the menu full-time though), and you can order delivery online (which is a nice way to get delivery without supporting the gig economy, if you’re so inclined). Over the years, as the culinary scene in Portland has changed, they’ve adapted to it. Pizzicato is a local chain that has been around for ages.
